Alternative Cancer Treatments

Why do I often get ignorant comments saying alternative cancer treatments are a bunch of scams? Maybe because there are scams out there, sad but true. Maybe because the medical field has done such a good job of getting us to buy into their faulty premise that drugs are the answer to any medical problem.

And then maybe again those comments just come from people who are not willing to take a little extra effort and take responsibility for their own health. Instead they want a quick fix pill to take that will make their problems go away.I’ve got news for them. Most pills will do nothing toward making your problems go away. The pill simply hides the problem or symptom until the problem gets so big it is too late.

The premise of alternative medicine is the opposite. For every disease there is a remedy but to find it you need to realize what caused it in the first place and keep that from continuing to happen.

In my recent book, Choosing a Natural Cure for Cancer, I explain it this way. Imagine that you’re inside all warm and toasty enjoying a winter day out of the weather when all of a sudden the wind starts blowing pictures off the wall and everything is immediately cold and damp. What is your first reaction?

If you have any common sense your first move will be to run for the door that just blew open or find out who left a window ajar. You search for the cause and deal with it. You don’t run for the thermostat and turn the heat up to try to cover up the cold. In the medical field the doctor ignores the reason for the cold and tries to hide the symptom. It doesn’t make much sense but it happens every day thousands of time.

Using alternative cancer treatments is more of a whole person approach. Find the cause whether it is poor diet, too much stress, too many toxins built up, etc, etc. Once you realize that you have been doing things that cause trouble you can eliminate a few of them and then you can turn the heat up on the disease and watch it go away. Turning the heat up before you close the door will only be a promise watch it return as soon as the conventional treatment quits.
